Coaching

Coaching, as a concept, is about turning potential into action; which, from a business perspective, increases performance. The skills required to coach effectively are simple; when you can listen, speak and question in a coaching style, you automatically unlock a persons' strengths and assist them to action those strengths on a day-to-day basis. Imagine a world, a country, a town, a business, a department in which each individual loves what they do and lives out their strengths. Coaching conversations create this world!

How many times has your gut feeling said 'Don't trust this person' or 'Employ this person'? Did you listen? Or did you only interpret the feeling after the fact and then say 'I knew that!' Top managers rely on intuition to deal with problems that are often too complex for rational analysis.

Coaching provides a safe space for individuals and teams to develop self awareness and put this new found awareness into action. By putting in place structured conversations, you and your team will find your own solutions both to achieving your personal goals and to achieving team goals.

Integrating intuition into coaching conversations supports individuals to 'know' what will work and to trust their decisions. Since coaching is about finding the most effective solution, intuition is a gift for any person or manager. Listening to your gut instinct assists you to cut through the issue, and facilitates asking the most powerful questions, in order to get the person concerned or yourself to self referenced and unique answers. A prescriptive answer is never the solution; a self referenced answer, based on new perception and new awareness is always the most effective solution.
